Lamina 1800 Gluer installed at SMP Group.

Swedish machinery manufacturer, Lamina System, has installed their in-line hot melt gluer at SMP Group based in Woolwich, South London. This simple gluer will be used for hot-melt gluing pallet wrap styles in large quantities. The gluer is hand fed so no waiting to re-load feeders on longer runs. The operator positions the blanks and the hot melt guns apply the glue during the passage through the machine. The length and exact position of the glue line can be easily preset using a programmable logic controller (PLC) and a touch screen. A system of press rollers ensures perfect adhesion and guides the glued blanks to a pull-out tray, which can be adjusted for different sizes.
