Bickers are proud to announce that another high specification GLUEJET® has been installed at the DS Smith Retail Marketing plant in Ely, UK during August 2023.
Mark Rust, Projects Engineering Manager at DS Smith, says "After 5 successful GLUEJET® installations during the last 13 years in Ely we have decided to invest again in the most efficient, fastest and safest xy-gluing technology on the market. With the new GLUEJET® 17.25 PAi2 we are able to apply a combination of hotmelt and PVA cold glue at an application speed of up to 6m per second which is perfect for FSDU/Corrugated Display production."

Swedish manufacturer Lamina System has installed their 14.10 CLG Auto Folder Gluer and 2200 GL Gluer with Taping Unit at W.E. Roberts Ltd based in Northfleet, Kent, UK during summer 2021.
Lamina Folder Gluer install at Challenge Packaging
Challenge Packaging, just outside Eastbourne, UK has just had a crash-lock gluer installed from Lamina System, Sweden. The compact 14.10 gluer is a fully automatic folder gluer that is equipped with a non-stop suction belt feeder and a variety of guides and belts to handle standard one-point boxes or three-point crash-lock boxes. The simple batch separation system prior to banding makes it very operator friendly. The machine has been placed on rails meaning sections can be easily rolled apart to give full access during set ups. This Lamina gluer will compliment other existing box gluers at Challenge enabling some flexibility and increased production which is much needed due to a huge increase in orders. In addition, Lamina has retro fitted a feeder and bobbins to a Lamina taping machine that was installed 18 months ago. This will help with the growing need for more e-commerce packaging.

Martin Coppard and Kevin Cracknell visited the Lamina factory in Sweden for a full demonstration and concluded the machine perfectly fitted their requirements.
